Welcome to St. Philip's

The Mission of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church is to empower its members to serve as beacons of justice, peace, love, and light, and to minister to the people of the Akron community--by Proclaiming the Good News of the Gospel through Service, Worship, Evangelism, Education, and Pastoral Care.

How to Find Us

We are located at 1130 Mercer Avenue, in West Akron, Ohio, just minutes from downtown. We are easily accessible from Interstate 77, Vernon Odom Boulevard, Copley Road, and the Akron Innerbelt. [map]

Our weekly worship service is held at 10:45am, every Sunday morning.

St. Philip's is a member of the Episcopal Church.

Episcopal comes from the Greek word Episkopos meaning bishop. We are a Christian church guided by our bishops, served by our priests and deacons (as ordained ministers) supporting the work and witness of the majority of our ministers, the baptized members of our church.

As a part of the Episcopal Church, 

St. Philip's is also part of the worldwide Anglican Communion, which has 70 million members in countries circling the globe.
